Where is Sew Perfect located?
Sew Perfect is located at 29 Station Road West, Oxted, Surrey RH8 9EE, right in the heart of Oxted. There is free parking available on Station Road West, or you can park at the nearby Morrisons car park, where parking is free for up to 2 hours.
What are your opening hours?
We’re open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday.
Monday–Friday: 8:30am–6:00pm
Saturday: 8:30am–5:30pm
What clothing alterations do you offer?
We offer a wide range of clothing alterations, including trouser shortening and tapering, waist adjustments, dress and skirt alterations, suit and jacket alterations, zip replacements and garment repairs.
How long do clothing alterations usually take?
Our standard clothing alteration service usually takes 1 week. If you need your clothes altered sooner, we also offer an express alteration service for urgent or last-minute requests. Please speak to our team about express turnaround times and availability.
Do you alter wedding dresses, bridesmaid and occasion wear?
Yes. We provide alterations and adjustments to all of these, taking particular care with special occasion and delicate garments.
Do you alter suits?
Yes. We provide professional suit and jacket alterations and repairs, helping customers achieve a better fit for work, weddings and other occasions.
Do you offer dry cleaning?
Yes. We provide dry cleaning for a wide range of garments, including trousers, jackets, suits, shirts, dresses, coats and other clothing.
Do you offer ironing?
Yes. We offer an ironing service, including local collection and delivery.
Do you wash and press bed linen?
Yes, we wash and press bed linen, and we also offer a press-only service if you simply need your bedding freshly pressed. We can also wash duvets and mattress toppers, helping to keep your bedding fresh, clean and looking its best.
Do you offer collection and delivery?
Yes. We offer free local collection and delivery in selected areas. Please contact us to confirm whether your address is within our service area.
How much do alterations cost?
The cost depends on the garment and the alteration required. Our latest price list provides prices for many of our most popular services, but please contact us if you require advice or a specific quotation. We often need to see the garment before we can give you a quote, please come into our shop and see our tailor, Ali.
Do you alter school uniforms?
Yes, we can alter most school uniform items, including trousers, skirts, blazers and sportswear to ensure a comfortable fit. We also offer a school uniform labelling service, making it easier to keep track of your child’s clothing.
Do you offer an embroidery service?
Yes, we can embroider most garments, whether it’s for personalisation, workwear or something special. Please contact us for more information and to discuss what you need.
